40+ YEARS EXPERIENCE
Having 40+ years of experience with hair and 30+ years of being a salon owner, Sam Johnson has built a solid reputation as a renowned hair stylist across the United States. Before settling in Johnson City, Sam worked with CBS Studios in Hollywood, California as a wardrobe consultant and a hair/makeup artist on the Young & The Restless set for 8 years. Sam also received the Most Beautiful Hair Award at the Miss USA pageant in 1998 for Kellie Lightbourne – Miss Virginia USA. Building up a portfolio in the professional world as a hair stylist, Sam took the opportunity to showcase his skills to an audience as a platform artist. Since then, Sam has focused on his passions in hair, makeup, wardrobe, and pageantry.

15+ YEARS EXPERIENCE
With 15+ years of experience, Jose’ has showcased his skills as a professional hairstylist and makeup artist on many occasions. Over the years, Jose has been a stylist and makeup artist for various Miss America and Miss USA contestants. Jose' has also provided his hair and makeup services for many high-fashion photography shoots. With these qualifications, Jose’ signed with the Rasnick Agency in Mexico City as a stylist and makeup artist for their model and international runway clients. Now in Johnson City, Jose’ prides himself in serving clients at Design Studio, specializing in men’s haircuts, Latin hair, and hair coloring. He strives to provide his clients with the hairstyles they envisioned.
